The SEACOR On-Deck Spill Kit meets the requirements of the California regulations that require non-tank vessels (over 300 gross tons) to carry a seven barrel spill kit for on-deck oil spills when conducting bunkering operations in California marine waters.

The SEACOR On-Deck Spill Kit meets all the requirements as written in the language of the regulations. It has the capacity to adsorb seven barrels of oil spilled on deck and materials to prevent deck spill from going overboard. The kit is designed to completely contain seven barrels of solid waste and is suitable to pump seven barrels of liquid waste also and temporarily store it under cover.

1. These 2 containers have a liquid holding capacity of 9.62 barrels- exceeds requirement. They also constitute a solids holding capacity of 22.5 cu. ft. each or a total of 45 cubic feet of covered solids storage. The plastic bags are included for recovery of oil soaked sorbents, granular absorbents and other solids.  These are usuall double bagged and tied with duct tape (included in PPE Section).
2. Meets California requirement for non-sparking pump. It will transfer 7 bbls of liquid oil in 16.3 minutes. A reasonable capacity for an efficient deck spill response.
3. Not required by regulations.  Considered a nice "extra". Useful item for sealing deck drains or deck scuppers.
4. Meets regulatory minimums. Contains a nice mix of various sorbent materials for efficient deck cleanup.
5. Regulations were written in plural so two each of hand tools is minimum.
6. PPE consists of the following: 10 ea. poly-coated Tyvek XXL suits w/hoods, 10 ea. Pairs of large nitrile gloves, 5 pairs of eye protection glasses, 10 pairs of non-skid booties, 5 ea. 3M organic vapor respirators, and 1 ea. 2" x 60 yd. roll of duct tape.  This provides the regulatory suggested minimum of PPE and inhalation protection against organic vapors.
7. Meets regulatory minimum. Also certified by California South Coast Air Quality Management District as a "Clean Air Solvent" in California.
