Specifications The Viscous Oil Sorbent utilizes the oil's natural stickiness to entrap it within thousands of looped plastic tentacles. The Viscous Oil Sorbent was developed to recover Crude oil, Bunker C, and Numbers 4,5, & 6 oil. It does an incredible job! It is a non-toxic, non-scattering, inert , cost effective and easy to retrieve. It does not become water-logged and sink as does straw. The SEACOR Viscous Oil Sorbent will typically recover from 20 to 60 times its own weight, depending on the viscosity of the oil. The thicker the oil, the better it will work.
