The pump is effective for the cleanup of oil spills, sludges, chemicals, and other pollutants. The peristaltic design provides an extremely high vacuum and allows objects up to 1 ¹/2" in diameter to pass through. This makes it possible to lift high viscous liquids from the ground such as bunker oil at freezing temperatures.

The Sala system is highly portable for deployment in remote locations or industrial facilities. Both the pump and power pack come equipped with wheels and removable handles and can be loaded onto a trailer for a 4-wheel drive ATV or tractor trailer. The pump has a flow rate of 48 gallons per minute, a suction lift of 33 feet and discharge heights exceed 328 feet.

The hose inside the pump housing is made of nitril, which is resistant to many chemicals. The system can pump corrosive chemicals such as ammonia, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, chlorine, and many others.

The pump can be connected to existing hydraulic power sources that provide a minimum of 900 PSI/8.5 gpm. To achieve full discharge pressure, 1800 PSI is required.
