DeconShelter :: HazMat Mini
Inflatable Nuclear / Biological / Chemical
Decontamination Station for Emergency Services
The DeconShelter :: HazMat Mini consists of two 16'
x 24' inflatable buildings and the hardware necessary to decontaminate
up to a person a minute within 20 minutes of being on site. Internal
dividers make it possible to decontaminate men, women, and injured personnel
at the same time.
The DeconShelter :: HazMat Mini can make use of
on site water and power or use those provided by emergency services.
Included is a mobile water heater, decon solution delivery system,
waterproof lighting, and a waste water storage system. The
facility also houses a decon shower, contaminated clothing bins,
and fully contained floors to hold water for safe discharge.
The DeconShelter :: HazMat Mini was Designed to Provide:
- A completely mobile first Response hazardous materials
and mini decontamination station, for the emergency services and
fire brigades.
- Rapid deployment by means of air craft, road transport
or sea, where storage and transportation space is limited
.
- A facility capable of decontaminating up to one
person per minute.
- Fully functional within 15 to 20 minutes
- A facility that is able to use on site power and
fresh water, or water and power provided by the emergency services.
- A facility capable of decontaminating men, women
and injured personnel at the same time.
- A mobile water heater and Decon solution delivery
system, to help prevent thermal shock when operating in adverse
weather conditions.
- A facility that is capable of housing a Decon
shower, contaminated clothing bins, floors with raised edges to
hold contaminated water for safe discharge.
- A waste water storage tank
- The ability to assemble and operate the station
while fully dressed in NBC suites.
- A dry and clean change room/ command post area
after the decontamination process.
- Ambulance access for quick removal of patients.
- A Water Proof lighting System
- A facility that can be decontaminated and disassembled,
packed as modular units, ready for redeployment within an acceptable
time frame.
